Guest guest
Hi All Well I took the 'Bull by the Horns' and saw the Vet today! Yep I saw the Vet because Hermes coward behind me. The vet wanted me to 'lift' her on to his table. I refused, explaining I did the back in with the coffee table, so 30 kilos of Labrador was not going to help my problem. I asked him if he had a set of steps? He has many things, but not steps! Therefore, Hermes stayed on the floor. He managed to get his stethoscope to her chest, all was normal. He looked in her ears and eyes, clean bill of health. Then he produced the thermometer! I told him I did not think that was a good idea, whereupon he said, " She still does not trust men then? " He went for her tail, when Hermes shot off and promptly sat down. As soon as he stepped towards her, she stepped away. In the end he gave up. I had told him what her symptoms are, whereupon he said, " Well she seems pretty lively now? " I replied, " So would you if you knew what was about to happen! " According to the Vet, Hermes is fit, well, a prime example of a Labrador and the correct body weight. As to the problem? Well he believes it is just a simple change in the weather? I know we had several spring like days, followed by a recent gust from Siberia, but I never took any notice. However I can don the thermal undergarments, fleece top, thermal hat and gloves. Perhaps Hermes felt the cold? Love and God Bless Gillian
