Guest guest
I can only give you my opinion. My opinion is that ph suffered an injury or suffers from an assault on his immune system that dropped his levels so low. My focus has been on rebooting or boosting his immune system to the degree that this portion comes back online. This has meant lowering his viral/bacterial and yeast load, not challenging him with foods and exposures that would waste valuable immune or building block nutrients, and giving supplements that are known immune system boosters. Re:WE DID IT! Wow--I have 3 kids with low IgA. My 6 year old has actually no levels detected. My almost 5 year old Ronan (vaccine injury/regressive autism) has 16 (normal is 22 and higher). My amost 18 month old has 6 (normal is 12 and higher). Doctors have said the same thing about the levels not able to go higher and it would be a life-long issue.. Ronan's levels did get higher--at age two, he went from less than 1 detected, went to 4; at age 3 he went back to less than 1 detected and now are at 16. I have no idea how to attirbute this increase. He wears a medic alert bracelet too. I'm getting my girls their bracelets this week. If you have any articles or research that you could share with me, please forward or just post them here on the board. Our immunologist wanted to pump more vaccines into Ronan when we first started testing the IgA levels since his immune system was obviously not working. His titres for the DTaP came back low or not there. I said no way--if his first four DTaP shots didn't 'work,' why would #5 be the magic bullet. We have an appt. in the spring to recheck IgA levels again. I'm very interested in anything you can share with us. This stays on the back burner for me as we have so many other things to deal with for Ronan. I need to get reading again on what the reasons are and how to fix them!
