Guest guest
After years of being misdiagnosed, I finally diagnosed myself for the most part and found my own doctor (a rheumatologist at a major teaching hospital). I telephoned him, gave him my briefest history possible and asked him if he would be interested in taking a stab at my case, That was back in 92= and I haven't looked back once for any reason. One of the main reasons for success in this relationship is that I feel I can talk freely with him, he respects and values my suggestions which sometimes we implement. I have always felt that professors at teaching hospitals have a different personality than those who go into some kind of corporate private practice that is popping up all over creation on the East Coast at least, I went to Medline and looked up and found my doc had written an article on PA...maybe you can find a doc who is nearer to you. I am always meeting people who fly in from all over to see him- from Paris, from Alabama, etc... I am lucky- it is an hour and 15 minutes drive from house, Take care and good Luck-
