Guest guest
Hi All. I'm new to this - the list, not the PA. I typed an email up last night and tried to send, but connections shut down in middle, so I'm not sure where it went. If it posts as well, sorry for any duplication. I've got what is probably considered fairly mild PA by comparison to many others, but the A definitely causes problems. The P is just more annoyance and minor embarrasment at times. I hate taking drugs and want to avoid things like prednisone and methotrexate as long as possible. I've taken various NSAIDS over the years. Just started Indomethacin, don't know yet how it's going to do. I'd love to hear some success stories of non-med treatments/ management methods. I'm just 33 and I refuse to give in to this stuff yet. I've had it for 10 yrs and I've got a long time ahead to live with it. I'm trying to keep moving as much as possible, even with the pain and the fatigue. Afraid if I don't, I won't be able to. Just as I start finding how much I enjoy being an active person, this stuff makes it harder to be one. I bike ride, scuba dive, roller blade, etc. and REALLY don't want to give it up because of some stupid disease. Anyone else out there who's finding ways to stay active without overdoing it? I may not be on here much, but I appreciate having a place like this to go. Thanks. Sylvia
