First off, thanks for creating a poll instead of using email roll call, but

the poll needs 2 more questions:

" How long have you been on it? less than a week, less than a month,

less than a year, 1+ years " and

" How much has it helped you? none, a little; 50% improvement; MAJOR

improvement; I'm running stairs "

Personally, I've been on it 1.5 years and I too had results pretty quickly

-- within 48 hours I got surprisingly good results. After 10 years

previous of trying every NSAID and 2nd line DMARD under the sun I didn't

have much hope for it, but it worked for ME. That's the key phrase. It

may help a large group of people but not everybody. I had had chronic

swelling in my ankles for years that nothing ever helped, and a baker's

cyst behind the left knee that I had drained and " shot " twice without

improvement that both returned to " normal " . I am more active again,

however, unlike others I seem to have GAINED weight. Maybe it's just

middle agedness setting in (I'm 37 now).

One more thought for the fellow on Enbrel AND MTX for 1+ years.... Why?

Why not drop the MTX? I must assume there is some reason?
