Guest guest
Well, I have mixed thoughts about the new rheumy. On the one hand, he's getting active about my meds- a series of cortizone shots over 3 days and then after that wears off, he'll start me on Remicade infusions. I've been on the waiting list for Enbrel since mid- December 2001. Still waiting waiting... He also wants to redo my blood work and test for lupus. Yikes! He said my problems are tendonopathy and not caused by joint damage. Mostly that's true, but I still feel like he was dismissive about it. So while I feel like he would work on treating me, I don't feel like he would be a great advocate for me. He did say that if I want to go back to work, I should start slowly and see how that goes. So it's not like he said I'm in great shape. And then of course, he's like 6'5 " or 6'6 " and I'm 4'11 " . That really throws me off. Good thing my husband came with me or I might have just left in fright! hehe When he had me on the exam table, I was like 5 and half feet up in the air! Well, I have another appointment next week with a woman rheumy. I've heard lots of good things about her...
