While I wait for my appointment with a new rheumatologist next month,

I decided to try some dietary supplements to see if they help. I am

taking flaxseed oil capsules and MSM, and they are making a big

difference. Not only do I have less pain and swelling, I also feel

more energetic and able to cope. If I forget to take them I can

really tell the difference. The best part is it's relatively cheap,

and there are NO side effects. Given my tendency to have horrible

side effects from every medication, even ones that supposedly

shouldn't have them, like the inhaled steroids routinely prescribed

for asthma, this is a godsend. I have heard so many horror stories

about some arthritis treatments that I am eternally grateful to have

found something that helps and doesn't make me feel horrible in the

process.
