Guest guest
If you are overweight, weight loss can certainly help pa along quite a bit, in more ways than you realize! It takes some of the stress off of weight bearing joints, namely your hips on down to your toes. Also, losing weight can give you a new lease on life. For some people, weight loss is like opening up a whole new world. You look at yourself in a new light and there is nothing more thrilling than moving from the plus sized to the regular sized in the department store. I can speak so definitively of these things because I have experienced this. I was forced to lose weight when I was dx with diabetes about 18 months ago. I had always been told that weight loss would help my pa, too. Well, it certainly has, physically and emotionally. So yes, weight loss can have a dramatic impact on pa, but you must keep in mind that everyone is different. 40 pounds was a significant loss for me..but someone else may find it doesn't make a significant difference. Hope this has helped! Janet
