Guest guest
Having been on methatraxate for a number of years, I have decided that I really do not wish to undergo another liver biopsy. There is a great disagreement (mostly between dermatologists and rheum. drs.) re: the need for this to ascertain the condition of the liver. On my 3rd and last biopsy, they hit a blood vessel - that was a very painful insult on top of the rib-pounding of the " gun " itself - so, until they invent a way which will not make this a blind procedure, I am trying to find an alternative to methatraxate. Glaxo's Dermovate has been good in controlling the skin, but it is the damage to the joints with which I am concerned. By the way, I purchased a number of tubes in Central America about 10 years ago and they are still just as effective - they were 1/10th the price! So, does anyone have a suggestion. thanks, albi
