I am so ecstatic to be able to share that I am currently in a remission. I

last had Remicade seven weeks ago, having withdrawn from the program

completely after it stopped working the last three infusions. I have been on

Imuran, 200 mg daily and Arava 20 mg daily for over two years however --and

this did not stop when I was taking Remicade either. I have been able to

taper down from two pain pills three times a day to one pain pill at bedtime,

and I am sure that will last only another week before I am off altogether!

God is good! I am praying that this remission lasts longer than my normal

two to three week ones of the past. I sure could use a good long pain free

summer with my children (Ted-15, n-12.5, Shelby-11)

Since I am literally feeling so spry, I have made plane some plane

reservations with some long unused mileage to go to Colorado with the kids to

visit their cousins for the second week of August! My mother is currently

visiting me from Colorado, so yesterday, I actually drove her into NYC and we

went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, went to the Russian Tea Room For

luncheon and then topped off the day with a performance of Elton and Tim

Rice' " AIDA " . I don't have to tell you it was fab-u-lous!!!!!!!!

I keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers and hope that soon, you too will

experience a taste of the freedom of a good remission- even if it is a few

weeks- it is so sweet.
