Welcome to the group. I joined a couple of weeks ago and have found a wealth of

help. I've found new friends. And I feel so much better by having others to talk

to that have the same problems. They are eager to pass on the information that

they have.

Thank you for the nice welcome. I'm thrilled to have found this

group. I've had PA for about 13 years, and have really felt isolated

since I don't know anybody else who has it(and I'm not exactly a shy

person who doesn't venture out of the house!). I've been frustrated

that I just get lumped into the RA treatment mode by my

rheumatologist, since I don't think he sees may PAs.

I'm looking forward to some meaningful exchanges with the group.

Howie,

You won't feel isolated now...we are scattered all over the world. We all

understand and all care...I am new to the group and I honestly don't know what I

did before finding them. They have so much information stored up. And you will

find most of us have good senses of humor. Laughter helps to get us over the

humps of life we all go through. I realize that I am just beginning the road of

PA and I'm trying to get into the University of Michigan dept. of medicine...as

a patient of course...But so far I haven't connected with the right person. I

have a very good rheumy, but like you I'm not so sure how many of us he sees.

We all go through down times when we feel depressed and defeated, but with this

group to cheer you on...well, it just helps that's all. Keep in touch and hang

in there.
