Happy New Year to All!

Our new year will be starting off with surgery on Jan17th.

will undergo a massive operation to fix his esophagus. They will

use a piece of his colon to repair his esophagus. The surgery was

not going to be until early March but after presented his case

to the surgeon the date was moved up. My husband and were amazed at

. We went to the surgery consult and they told us early March

then said he wanted to talk....he simply told this surgeon that

his throat was broken and he needed hime to fix it. He then

proceeded to throw up in the doctors garbage can (twice) to show him

what happens when he tries to eat. The surgeon never moved a muscle

as he watched this presentation. ended the appointment by

hugging the surgeon, rubbing his back, shaking his hnd and saying

thank you for fixing his throat. Well the next day my phone rang it

was the surgeon himself calling to say they had moved up 's

surgery date. He was quite taken with 's presentation and said

no one had ever hugged him before. My answer was Welcome to 's

world! Keep us in your prayers on the 17th.

I had problems with mail so have missed messages the last several weeks. But I saw these, and I want to thank Theresa for sharing 's story; how awesome. I pray the surgery goes well. Also, ette, I'm glad is doing well. is neutropenic and has had cellulitis the last week around his gtube stoma, but we get counts rechecked tomorrow (Mon).
