Guest guest
hi all, I am new here and would like to try the GAPS diet for treating (or coping with) gastroparesis (paralysis of the stomach -> frequent vomiting and stomach pain) and leaky gut/ibs. I was wondering if anyone here has experience with this? The general dietary advice for gastroparesis is low fiber, low fat small frequent meals. This has not been a recipe of success for me - high carb actually leads to more frequent stomach upset! My current situation is vomiting of nearly everything but (ginger) tea with honey. I sometimes do ok with hand-sized portions of papaya, avocado, cooked fish or chicken (but strangely enough not the broth in which I boiled it). I plan on starting the introduction diet stage 1, but any specific gastroparesis tips would be very welcome! all the best, claire
