Guest guest
Last night we had BBQ chicken, a family favorite, and I didn't know what to do about the sauce as all the commercial ones are junk, IMO. I made up a recipe that we all liked, so I thought I would post it. 1/2 c. cooked winter squash (I used butternut) 1/2 c. SCD approved vinegar, such as apple cider 1/4 c. honey 1/2 tbsp SCD approved mustard (more or less to taste) 1/2 clove garlic (I used more, but once the sauce sat awhile, the garlic was a bit overpowering) put all ingredients in a blender and puree. You could also add some SCD homemade ketchup or tomato paste if you like the tomato flavor in your sauce. Enjoy
