Someone else wrote about depression with Celebrex, did they try

something else that gave pain management w/o depression?

- I don't find that vioxx seems to contribute to depression although I

think it does add to swelling in the ankles and feet. At least, I don't seem

to be any more or less depressed on it. I think it is the pain that

depresses me rather than the drugs, because I only seem to be down if I have

a lot of bad pain days in a row.

I too have found some relief with Aleve. I usually two or three in the

morning and then rarely have to take any in the evening.

Not at all. I may have a strong stomach, though. I never really have had

any problems with any of the meds (except Lodine--now that made me sick). I

usually take it after eating so that my stomach isn't empty, and I drink a

lot of water. I guess it depends on how you react to other stuff. And of

course, you could try upping it one pill and if it makes you sick the first

time, go back down. =) Hope this helps!

Hi ,

I have Rx strength (500 mg) Aleve and take 2 of these a day. It's about

like taking 4 over the counter Aleve per day. Talk to your Doc. - he'll

probably write you a prescription for them.

Greg -

Thanks - I have a RX now for 500 mg Naproxen - same thing as Alleve, right?

This is pretty new to me - can you tell me what NSAID stands for?

In taking the Naproxen, it made me too tired during the day, so I stick with

Alleve in the daytime, Rx at night.

Perhaps 2 Alleve during the day would help more.

Thanks, alot.
