Guest guest
Hi everyone, My RD called me back yesterday to suggest two things: 1) Stay OFF the Azulfidine 2) The trembling is probably caused by the fibromyalgia Well, duh! Thank you, , for writing: > I agree. It does sound like a symptom of low blood sugar. >If you don't have any testing equipment and it happens again, >try drinking a 1/2 cup of orange juice. If it's low blood sugar, you will notice an improvement in how you feel very quickly. >If this does work, ABSOLUTELY SEE YOUR DOCTOR. > Hypoglycaemia is nothing to fool around with. I will certainly keep that in mind. I usually drink fruit juice or hot spiced tea all day long as well as a lot of water. Thanks a for reminding me about the sugar levels. My RD has been doing a lot of lab work, including UA which was negative for glucose. I'll have to dig through the older lab sheets to check further. Thanks, too, to the one who reminded me about checking thyroid levels. My RD has palpated it (I have a neck that just draws attention from doctors ever since I was a student nurse because it's short and the muscle have to kinda bulge into the space. It became quite common for a dr just walking down a hall to order me to " turn around " so he could check my neck with my back to him. ) It has been almost 3 weeks since I've taken the Azulfidine and I am feeling like a worthwhile HUMAN again. I began feeling MUCH different on Sunday after being off it for 2 weeks. I seem to recall others writing that it made them feel like they had flu. I'm tolerating noise better during the day until early evening. But the trembling is still with me. I've got the 'butterflies in formation' and the sounds in my head are forming into chords and short tunes. So I now have music where before it was just annoying noise. A phrase from an old song: " There's a whole lot of shaking going on! " Another of my 'personal' experiments is to see what happens if I get good sleep at night with the assistance of Ambien. I'm convinced that that is one key to coping with P, PA and fibro. I have noticed a definite improvement in the general achiness. NOW, I've got to get the cholesterol levels down. I watch my diet fairly closely, so I'm now working in more exercise. It has been warm enough to work in the yard and garden and now that the depression has lifted, I'm " in the mood " to get some work done. I LOVE SPRING!!
