Guest guest
Pat, Unfortunately, I tried both Prilosec and Prevacid. Neither did anything for me. Propulsid worked but they kinda yanked it from the market cuz it causes side effects for other people. Bleh! Anyway, I have a major modified diet. I take a lot of rx zantac when if I fall from it (like eating too much chocolate or something unexpectedly spicy). Even Vioxx affected my stomach. I've gone through the whole scenario with all the NSAIDs. I'm pretty much screwed in that arena. So MTX is helping a tad, but I'm really looking forward to trying out Enbrel. Actually just talked to them. I am on their waiting list, but they can't tell me how long it will be til I'm activated. I went in yesterday for some cortizone shots in the rear- ouch... But I'm feeling better today. I've got multiple joints in an ongong flare. December-February is always the worse. > AND I can not take any NSAIDs (vioxx > > included). Guest guest
I've been taking Aciphex for GERD. Seems the Zantec just didn't work anymore. Having burned 1/2 my vocal cords from reflux, I was desperate to find something that worked. The Aciphex works most of the time for me. As for pain meds, I have avoided them. I tend to get " loopy " without the relief. No point in that. However, last night I broke down and took something. I still couldn't sleep, but at least I wasn't miserable.
