Anyone else have arthritis of the jaw? My jaw is the only joint that hasn't been affected by PA at one time or another for me, but what's strange is that my younger sister is having problems ONLY with her jaw. After many visits to dentists, dental surgeons, etc, lots of different treatments and little success... she finally mentioned my PA situation (she was 21 at the time-same age as my onset of PA) and ended up getting a referral to the rheumy.. After reviewing my sister's situation and hearing a little about my situation, her doctor became convinced that it was a rheumatic disease rather than a 'typical' jaw or mouth problem... they started treating her as such and she saw improvement quickly.... However at some points, it was so bad she couldn't eaet normally, needed a straw and very mushy or liquidified foods... I'd be curious to hear of others have had jaw involvement or relatives with jaw involvement.
