Guest guest
Hi - Infusion went WELL but you had nausea and vomiting??? I had hoped that Remicade didn't cause those fun symptoms like the MTX can. Does anyone else have stomach troubles from infusions of Remicade?? We determined, however, that it might have been my restarting of mtx at the same time as the infusion that caused the nausea, because I have not had the nausea since then. They gave me a 20 mg shot of mtx the day I began infusions, but since then I have been taking 15 mg orally. Note also that they gave me the 3mg/kilo ration of Remicade as directed for my first two treatments, but on my third visit 2 weeks ago they gave me the entire contents of the vials, which they estimated was 3.7mg/kilo. The reason for this was the day after my second infusion I had a bad flare that persisted for the month between infusions 2 & 3. After the increase from the third infusion, I've done better but am now having new joint involvement. I wonder if he will up my dosage again when I go back at the end of March for my fourth infusion. Guest guest
Good Morning Everyone, I guess I am a little disappointed with all the info about the Remicade. My first infusion is scheduled for Feb 28th and I thought I would spend my three hours in there and feel like a million bucks the next day. It saddens me to hear some people spend 10 hours and some people flare for a month. Aargh! Also my infusion was delayed for that long because I have an infected tooth ;( I've always taken good care of my teeth and wonder if this off the wall infection is aided by all the medications I currently take--MTX, Folic Acid & Voltaren? Anyone else get weird infections after beginning MTX. I took my 11th shot yesterday. Hoping all are well today, Jeanne In Idaho
