Pretty soon, every symptom I have ever had will be linked to PA. I have

suffered with sinus problems all my life. I have food and pollen allergies.

I have suffered from heartburn for years, but those have also been the years

I have had problem keeping weight down, so it seemed logical. Celebrex was

murder on the heartburn, but I have managed the Vioxx. Once you link it to

hemorroids, I think you have me covered LOL!

Ta da! Believe it or not constipation is a side effect of poor vitamin

and mineral absorption (which many docs are finding PAers have)...which

can lead to hemorrhoids. You're covered! hee hee

deano

P.S. Have you heard of grapefruit seed extract? I'm taking it to help

stabilize my gut flora but it also is known to help with sinus problems.

I've seen my sinuses improve quite a bit and didn't realize it until

recently as I was focused on other parts of my body. :)

Thanks Deano. That does it! Everything is related to PA. Wait...does that

include incredibly long labors (three days) and placenta previa. How about

6 mos of 24-hr a day morning sickness for three pregnancies (yes, I'm an

idiot). Sorry to laugh on line, but I have just spent two days with an

itchy, swollen, rash-covered body--while teaching English--due to a reaction

to Plaquenil! I needed to vent!

--I had something similar where If I lay down I can basically feel

the rotation of the earth. kind of like the " bed spins " what helps is

to go to the chiropractor. If you dont feel comfortable with that,

shake your head hard like when you get water in your ears. I read

that this can (though not always) be caused by calcifications in your

inner ear. Hope this helps. A

These are funny stories about PA causing everything

including hemorrhoids unless they have just happened

to be your hemorrhoids. I have never had problems

with hemorrhoids until 12/01. I went from one hard

bowel movement and a hemorrhoid (when you have them

you learn to spell them correctly) popped up. Doc.

Mac lanced it and sent me home. Next week a new one

popped up. I ended up having hemorrhoid surgery just

before Christmas. The Cause: Prolonged use of

prednisone 20 mg or more for 4+ years has thinned the

skin on the surface of my body, skin tears easily.

Now, water, Fiber-ease, surfak, Milk of

Magnesia helps keep me loose and moving.

But, my wife has arthritis problems just as severe as

me, so she understands. We truly know what Love is

when you deal with a fecal impaction for your spouse

of 25 years.

Dan, that was a wonderful, inspiring message :o) ... very

uplifting. I think PAer's go through so many things that are not

officially connected to the disease... with this group we are able to

find out we have much more in common than doctors, research, and the

medical textbooks and community are aware of. I have been through

this painful surgery 19 years ago, that is one experience I hope

never to repeat, ouch. Unfortunately, many of the medicines...

including even the topical steroid creams and ointments cause

thinning of our skin. This should be listed on a questionnaire in

the future... who has had problems such as these....we also should be

aware of medicines that are known to cause constipation (one is

codeine...). I would be interested to find out how fellow PAer's

have been affected by medications, in relation to the mentioned topic

(which is obviously NOT heartburn and sinuses... like written above,

ha) Have a nice day, #2
