Hiya everyone

I was wondering whether anyone has ever looked into acupuncture or reflexology as a treatment for PA?

I am literally at my wits end.

I made the decision about 12 months ago to come off the MTX & just go with the NSAIDs.

I was doing really well until about Xmas time when I started to get considerably worse - but it was still preferable to the way I felt whilst on MTX & we are also hoping for a baby.

This last month however the PA has progressed so quickly I am really scared.

Both of my heels are painful, my left ankle & knee are painful & swollen as is my right knee making it almost impossible for me to walk (shuffle is a better description). My left wrist & right elbow are also painful as are both of my hands making it difficult to do anything much for myself at the moment. But is my back that I am most concerned about. I am also experiencing what I can only describe as sever muscle spasms after the MAMMOTH effort it takes me to climb the stairs to bed in the evening - recently my partner has insisted on carrying me but I am vain & stubborn & try to do it myself first.

I am so TIRED all the time & some days I can almost SEE the depression descending.

I have managed to bring forward my appointment with my Rheumy - but only until the 30th of the month - 11 more days to go.

If anyone has any advice, info on acupuncture/reflexology, or just general chat to keep me afloat I would be most grateful.

Sometime I feel that this site is my life-line.

Love & best wishes to you all.

Petra.
