Guest guest
Last weekend,in a local newspaper, there was an article stating how my dermatologist along with a few more specialists had a new medication and were now ready to conduct clinical trials. I didn't have time to contact his office all of last week due to my work load but held on the faith that something out of this world had been discovered. This morning, I finally took two minutes and called his office. I was told by the secretary that indeed, he was getting ready to conduct clinical trials on people with more than 10 % of psoriasis covering their bodies. I stated that I was a patient of his and was diagnosed as a chronic case with over 80% coverage. She then said that the name of the medication was ---Enbral---( my spelling may be off). My heart sank as I have heard many people state how they are on the list and will not have the medication until August? maybe. So I stated this fact and she did not feel we would be having that difficulty. Can anyone explain to me what exactly is this medication. All I know is that it is used when Methotrexate does not work anymore and that it is administered by injections. Is it a auto-immune system supressant as Mtx? What are the side effects? What are the long term effects on the body etc. Like I said, I was hoping for a miracle and was looking forward to sharing it with everyone. I guess it is true that Canada is often behind with the times. Memine
