I've heard from a number of you on each of the vacc email lists, but not

enough to post to the lists I fear. So I will email them all to those of

you who are interested in one bunch. I leave at the end of the week for

one of the tours I lead in Greece so NEED to hear from anyone who wants

them by WEDNESDAY.

If you've already asked for them, I have your name. Otherwise

EMAIL ME BY Wednesday 5 p.m. PDT and I will add you to the list and send

them out to you.

You can send them to me as well, Sheri!

Thanks;)

From: " Becky Raine " <braine@...>

Subject: " slightly enemic " .

Everytime someone talks to me about my monthy blood

tests they say that

being " slightly enemic " , comes with arthritis. At the

moment I'm not

recalling if it is from the condition or the

medication. Becky

I'm also amoung the slightly anemic. I thought it was

due to the fact that new red blood cells are created

in the bone marrow and get into the system at your

joints and a lot of my joints are falling down on the

job. I've never been ale to pin my RD down on this,

just my theory. I'm fairly certain the anemia predates

my meds(it's been sooooo looooong.) Speaking of meds

I've just started on Enbrel. One week down. So far

some results nothing too remarkable. I'll post a more

detailed account in a week or two after I've seen

where it's going.

We live in Alabama and we're thinking of going to Toronto on Amtrac.

Have you considered that? I thought the rates looked very reasonable.

Has anyone ever traveled on Amtrac? How was the experience? We haven't

but thought it might be a nice way to travel.

Hi, I haven't written for almost a year, I think. (Although I try to read

most of the mail). I just finished school, and am now a Licensed Practical

Nurse. I am planning on going on to get my RN degree. My son, Trevor (3 1/2

DS) is doing really well, except for his speech. He has just started putting

2 words together, but most of the time what he says sounds like gibberish. I

know that I don't help when he points to something, and I automatically hand

it to him without making him say the word of what he wants. He starts

preschool next week, and the bus will come right to our house to pick him up,

and bring him home. I met his teacher, and she seems very wonderful. I just

wish he was getting more speech, but don't know how to insist on it. I mean

individual one-on-one speech therapy. His motor skills are right up there

about on a 2 1/2 year old level. He's not pedalling his trike, but really

tries, his little legs are just too short. Well, I will close, but also want

to mention that we are moving from Idaho up to Alaska where my husband has

worked for 13 yrs. We still won't be with him because he works in the oil

field at Prudoe Bay, but at least we will be together more often, and he

won't have such a commute home. Just wondering if any of you live in Alaska

(Anchorage area) and if so I wonder if there is any DS support groups, or

services there. Thanks, Trudy (Mom to 22 yrs, Rob 19 yrs.; Kara

Joy 5 yr; Trevor (DS) 3 1/2 yr )
