Medical Charges!

One day a man carrying a dead dog in his arms dashed into a vet's office in

Tralee and demanded that the vet give the pooch urgent medical attention.

The vet took one look at the dog-an ancient black and white sheepdog- and

declared it to be well and truly dead and beyond help.

The owner refused to accept the vet's verdict and demanded a second opinion.

The vet then went out into the back room of the surgery and picked up a cat

and brought it in, sitting it down beside the dead dog.

The cat inspected the sheepdog, clawed it a few times and let out a piteous

miaow whereupon the vet said that the cat had also agreed that the sheepdog

had passed away.

The owner still refused to accept the bad news and demanded another opinion.

So once more the vet went into the back room and returned with a Labrador.

The Labrador sniffed the sheepdog, gave a whine and a howl so convincing the

grief stricken owner that his dog had indeed passed away.

When the vet demanded a bill of £600 the grieving owner was outraged " That's

a terrible price for any vet to charge " he said.

Replied the Vet " MY bill only comes to £50. All the rest is for the Cat Scan

and Lab tests! "

Love and God Bless
