She was eligible to go all last year (they start in 7th grade) but she didn't want to. Tonight is the first dance of the school year and she is actually EXCITED to go. I think part of it is that she is interacting more with girls now than she did last year, and a group of them invited her to their lunch table and those are the girls she is meeting at the dance.
