Thanks Vicky. I told her that I had forgiven myself and so has God, and now it was up to her. I can only do so much and begging for her love or respect isn't one of themLike I've said she has 3 children of her own coming up in this world and you reap what you sew. I can only hope I am there to tell her how soirry I am for her not to say I told you so. I do pray one day she will pop up and all will be okay. She had even told nurses at the hosp. when she had her last child that I was not allowed due to my hep c. Now that had hurt but thank the good lord I am able to deal with the hurt she has caused my heart. Like my mother always said....."When your kids are little.they walk on your feet........When they grow up they walk on your heart. How true those words have become.

We're at the mercy of fools. At least 3 times now the

pharmacy has got the wrong prescription for my

rebetron. A couple of other errors too. Luckily I look

closely and in the case of my rebetron I order a week

in advance (I get 2 week supplies), because they don't

carry it on hand and if they have to send for it twice

I'm going to be sitting there with nothing left. The

prescription errors weren't that serious, but an error

there could be deadly, so you would think that more

care would be taken to ensure the correct

prescription.

Hopefully she will come around. I remember in

treatment they were teaching us about the cycle of

being in a dysfunctional family and how our

self-esteem was damaged etc... I started seeing that

it was my parents fault. After a while I had to think,

what about their parents? and their grandparents?

where does the blaming end. We are imperfect children

and we grow up to be imperfect parents. I had to admit

that, although I don't agree with everything my

parents did, that they tried to do the right thing,

and I had to take responsibility for my own actions.

Hi DZ

I had the VA doc order a 1 month supply so I don't have to make a trip to

town every 2 weeks. Sometimes the pharmacy can't fill the prescription like

it is supposed to. It doesn't matter to them how far or how often I have to

drive to pick it up. Last time I asked them if they were going to pay for my

liver transplant if I ran out of medicine. I haven't had any problem since.

Nothing angers me more than the incompetence and uncaring attitude of some

government employees.

Sounds more like a novella or novel rather than a song . . . IMHO if they song is going to have each of our names and stories (mine in itself would be way too much . . . hope I can condense) I think we should all write our own 4-5 lines . . . just my 2 cents work, and that sure ain't much, believe you me . . . especially through this brain fog at this hour of the morning! About the sensitive eyes-my daughter complains about bright light. I don't

know if it's a combination of the blonde hair and blue eyes or the MTX she is

on, however, the doctor has told us to protect her eyes from the sun light.

She has sun glasses that she will often wear almost everywhere and this seems

to help her a great deal and at times a hat.

Yes Kathy, my eyes were extremely sensitive too light and I do believe it

is related to jra. They now tell me at 46, that I have a form of

Retanitis Pigmatosis, that affects the light sensory nerves of the

retinas. I have had to wear sun glasses even on cloudy days.

Hi There,

One of the first things our rheumy told us when he put Jordan on MTX

is that a side effect of it is light & sun sensitive. I'm not one for

the sun/heat etc., but I have a heck of a time keeping Jordan out of

it, doesn't seem to bother him at all. Out of all the side effects

that come with it, he's had none whatsoever. Always knew this kid

was different, lol.

sensitivty to light is a good reason to call your sons eye doctor. Everytime

I bring my son in for the slit ight lamp test, they always ask if he has

sensitivity to light.. they said if he ever did to call them ,..as it could

indicate a problem.. Jane

I have been feeling so crappy lately and the state of our nation right now is just adding to it! The only thing I can do right now is pray and even that is not bringing me total relief! I am so frustrated and confused as to why so many innocent people have died and I don't understand how people could hate so much! For the first time since I've been on treatment (10 1/2 months) I called out sick yesterday. I am going to the doctors today. My body just seems to be say "Enough Already" but then I think of those who may still be alive and trapped!

Hi -- I'm not sure what the connection is, but I'm convinced there is one

between muscles (or tendons) and some joint pain. I know that taking a mild

muscle relaxer (because I also suffer from allergies, I take Benadryl) helps to

Hi,

I know from experience that PA does effect the tendons. I have tendon damage

in my right hand which makes it impossible to close my fingers. This is one

of the clues my doctor used to determine the diagnosis of PA. PA also quite

commonly affects the heel tendon.

I noted that you mention back surgery - the PA has just begun to affect my

neck and back. My PA has become extremely aggessive lately and my doctor is

agressively treating with MTX and Predisone. I thought the loss of use of my

right hand trouble me however, I am finding this new back problem very very

disturbing.

PA is an inflammatory arthritis which does indeed affect your tendons,

ligaments, muscle and any other soft and/or connective tissue. I took

medical leave because I thought I had carpal tunnel and my doc had me have a

nerve and muscle test-both came back inconclusive because I am on coumadin

and they couldn't finish the test. I took strength tests and it was

conclusive - I had no strength and I had arthritis. The doc that gave me

that test said absolutely no to carpal tunnel just arthritis. I went to a

hand surgeon and he poked and prodded and because I have PA/RA he said it is

almost impossible to diagnosis carpal tunnel or any other type of related

work hand syndrome because the symptoms are the same. He had a splint made to

fit my hand and half way up my arm and told me to wear it as much as possible

and that I should go back to work with it and come back to see him in 2

weeks. The appt is next week so I will find out more. The splint he had made

for me is hard plastic and not at all like the wrist supports they sell in

stores for carpal tunnel. I can type with it on although slower because I

can't relax my fingers on the keys and cannot find home base so I am always

looking at what I am typing. I cannot do the numbers on the calculator pad

of the keyboard-or a regular calculator- or write with the splint on so I

have it off a lot.

Yes PA can affect tendons and such like. If it is the inflamation of

softer body tissues around joints which cause you pain, then perhaps

physiotherapy may benefit you in some way by exercising and

stretching muscles and tendons etc. It helps me.

My Dr. says PA does not affect muscles and tendons, but, if it doesn't, many

of us have other illnesses in combination with the PA. I also have the hand

and finger and wrist problems. As a matter of fact, I was on Enbrel for 3

months and the only relief I got was in my hands (Dr. said not enough to

warrant staying on Enbrel, so I'm off). PA is a crazy illness and I really

think the docs don't know everything about it yet. Frustrating; huh? By the

way, as miserable as the liver biopsy is, you MUST have it. I can't believe

your doc hasn't insisted on it. I'm going for my 2nd next month (on metho

about 5 yrs.)

Everything I have read and heard indicates that PA does indeed affect the

tendons. Muscles I don't know about. Tendons, yes. Go online and look up

PA. I am a good example of tendon damage from PA.
