Guest guest
--- > > Hi , Hadn't heard that about vitamin e. When I hear about vitamin supplementation I always wonder about if it is ok on top of a multivitamin. Like with B's and I can't remember if it is safe or not. And again, what KIND of fish oil? Which kinds are safe? I am going to put the question to the group in a way others who pass some of these up will read them, but according to my doctor mercury is a problem with many fish oils. Flax seed oil in place of?? I have heard some teach this ( no to flaxseed) and some teach that ( not to EPO) - who can know anything? I am just downright confused these days, so I will wait till something makes perfect sense to me. About the EPO and temporal lobe seizures. I have read not to use EPO with epilpesy or epilepsy meds - period. BUT, Loma University did a study which challenges that teaching and 's daughter was in it. Her seizures were reduced. Guest guest
my 6 yearold takes extra vitamins on top of her multi vitamin. her doc said it was safe considering she is obviosly lacking vitamins for proper brain function. she also takes fish oil capsules . i will ask about the mercury. but it IS under his reccomendation, so i dont think its a problem. it is doing wonders for her development. want to try the evening primose oil, but im scared since everyone says its bad for epileptics. its great gina is having good reactions to it with her daughter, does anyone else take them? sarah joanie46115 <bjwilson@...> wrote: --- > > Hi , Hadn't heard that about vitamin e. Guest guest
Hi , Besides her multi-vitamin, what else do you have your daughter on and how much are you giving her? I am always willing to try something that works for someone else. Thanks! God Bless! Guest guest
grace briana is taking b-complex with folicacid (1/2 of adult dose), calcium/magnesium tablet,(2 a day, made for kids) and i mix lecithin in her food too(2 teaspoons). i give her two tablets of fishoil. i think its the b-complex that is giving her the better brain function, you should take that with magnesium.she was taking otilith, a chinese supplement, but it wasnt really doing anything. there are other things i wanna try now. i am going to see what role salts and sugars play in her body too. i think somethings kinda going on there with her. luv sarah " Grace H. Guest guest
Someone asked " what are temporal lobe seizures? " They are seizures that begin in the temporal lobe of the brain. Most multi-vitamins have very low dosages of the vitamins they contain. Additionally there are not very many vitamins that can store up in the body and cause problems. Most are just used or flushed through with elimination...though I am aware there are several things that can be stored and cause severe problems. It is always best to consult a health practioner before beginning to use any additional vitamins. It is best to only add one new vitamin or supplement each week when you are adding things so that you can make observations of what help or hindrance it may be causing. Additionally, I also take the any new supplements along with my son so I can see if there are any symptoms I observe that he may not be able to articulate or that may be too subtle for him to notice. Guest guest
, I think that taking the supplements along with your son is a great idea. I never thought of that. Thanks! God Bless!
