Guest guest
There are a lot of people here with PA and Fibromyalgia. Diabetes too. I mentioned that to my doctor a few weeks ago, and he told me that the medical profession has been picking up on a link between PA and the others - interestingly, they are all auto-immune disorders. It would be a good idea to get it properly diagnosed though. Don't self-diagnose - it's a dangerous road to travel. [ ] PA and Fibromyalgia? Do we have alot of people here that have both of these? Someone from this group brought this to my attention, and I strongly believe that I have this....... Everything will make sense then if I have this... The brain fog , headaches, sleep problems , dizzyness....... Here is a good site if you think you might also have it - http://www.futureone.com/~hunter/sympt.htm (check out the funky music too)
Guest guest
I don't think that I have fibromyalgia - at least I don't have those 7 sore spot points. But I do have a lot of soft tissue pain and fatigue. I also am diabetic.

Guest guest
I guess I can join everyone! I have PA, Fibro, Diabetes, Hypertension, RA, Chronic Pain Syndrome, and the two I just love to death... ulcers and depression. Like I tell all my friends, you take all this medicine and see if your stomach doesn't complain! Not too mention, it is kinda depressing! But I have decided to look UP and be more positive. If I keep it up, I'll have every letter in the alphabet covered! le > Do we have alot of people here that have both of these? Guest guest
Fibromyalgia's main symptom is chronic pain — an "aching all over." The pain may be a deep ache or a burning sensation. Stiffness and discomfort in your muscles, tendons and ligaments often occur with the pain. These signs and symptoms may accompany fibromyalgia: Difficulty sleeping Fatigue Anxiety Stress Depression Numbness Headaches Tingling in your hands and feet Digestive problems Sensitivity to weather Sensitivity to temperature changes Diagnosis Fibromyalgia is difficult to diagnose. There isn't a laboratory or scanning test that can confirm or rule out the condition. In addition, many of its symptoms mimic other diseases, such as low thyroid hormone production, Lyme disease and rheumatoid arthritis. You may go through several medical tests, only to have results come back normal — yet your pain is very real. These tests may include blood tests, such as thyroid and liver function tests, blood count, a test of antibodies, and a sedimentation rate test.Your doctor also may rely on the following in diagnosing fibromyalgia: Medical and personal history. Going over this background may indicate to your doctor that you have a condition other than fibromyalgia, or may help your doctor eliminate other possibilities. Physical examination. By visually examining your joints, bones, muscles and skin and testing them for pain, your doctor may be able to rule out other possible illnesses.Typically, your doctor diagnoses fibromyalgia only after eliminating other conditions. Guidelines established by the American College of Rheumatology suggest a diagnosis of fibromyalgia only after you've had widespread aching for at least 3 months and a minimum of 11 locations on your body that are abnormally tender under relatively mild pressure.
