Guest guest
Hi Chris I was interested in your exercise article. When people ask me what it is like to have PA, I usually reply; If you have ever been a long distance runner, you hit that stage of the race when everything turns to lead. The legs are heavy, the arms are heavy, the chest wants to explode. I think they call this the BURN. You know this is just a phase and if you keep running it will wear off, you get your 'second wind'. Well having PA for me, is akin to being in the BURN, constantly and nothing I can do shakes it off. " I try and walk three miles a day, although this past week it has been persistent rain, so I came home as soon as I started feeling damp. As for aerobics class twice a week, I do not think my body would stand all the stress. If I go with Moms clubs dancing, well two waltz, one Siege of Ennis and I am done in for! As for the endorphins, I cannot recall the last time THEY kicked in here after exercise. It seems to me that what energy level we have, we have to use wisely. Akin to a battery really. You can leave the torch on all day and drain the battery, whereupon you have to recharge, or you can use the torch sparingly, whereupon you do not have to recharge it for over a week. Suggestions? Well just take exercise as you should take salt, sprinkle it lightly, rather than empty the salt shaker. Love and God Bless Gillian
