I think the gap doesn't become larger but it's there and probably more noticeable because older kids are less forgiving. And so are people in general - you'd accept behavior from a little toddler but not from a 12 yo, for instance. So in that sense, the problems do get worse in that they become more noticeable. Until now we thought she was just " quirky " or " sensitive, " but this past year ehr delayed social skills have been really noticeable. Can anyone help me understand what's to come? Does the gap between her social developmjent and that of her peers become even more pronounced as they get older? What kind of social help can I get for ehr?
