Guest guest
Orange juice...I suggest you ask your doctor about the no OJ ....my hepatologist have never said that and I have never seen anything against OJ in all my searching...all I ever saw was not to drink grapefruit juice nor eat them as they can cause your meds to not work properly. However if you have an acid stomach I can see that it would be prudent to not drink OJ, tomato juice and milk along with other acid producing foods.. If you find that article please send it in along with the URL address. Thanks .Joanne

Guest guest
Deb, I had to go through the same thing last year. I qualified for food stamps and had to go through all the paperwork. I was embarrassed but there was no reason to be. The programs available were made for people in our situation. You did not plan to become ill nor did you plan on needing GA. Try to stay positive. It will be very difficult to use it in the store the first time but again, this will get easier. Good luck. Hugs,

Guest guest
RE: dyspraxia and autism spectrum Rafik sounds like a wonderful little boy....enjoy him enjoy him enjoy him! The label doesn't matter, the child does. Is the arm flapping getting in the way of his progress and growth? If not forget about it! Many many things/behaviors/difficulties/syndromes are now being lumped under the " autism spectrum " and professionals and providers are always " wondring out loud " if your kid fits this or that. Now, if this dr. has put in writing that he actually HAS this diagnosis THEN I would find another professional and either get it confirmed or contradicted. When my son was little his play was often repetitive with hand/arm flapping like when he was in water or in his sand box.....therapists " wondered " and so I felt I needed to know. I brought him to two drs.....one a nuerologist and one an (actually I forget the title, nueropsych or just psych .....can't remember) expert in a treatment program for kids with autism. Both of them ruled out autism but neither gave any actual other diagnosis at the time although one suggested " maybe some apraxia was going on " . Both recommended the frequent and intense therapy that he was already getting and responding to. Peace, Carol (mom to Micah 7 1/2 with global apraxia and several other diagnoses/labels
Guest guest
The Othmer's successfully treated their child and then went on to found EEG Spectrum. Also, Dr. Bate on the orthomolecular and ADDHD groups uses them a lot. This is a therapy I will be using for my son. http://aolsearch.aol.com/dirsearch.adp?start= & from=channelstrip.%2Fdirsearch.adp & query= " eeg%20spectrum " mjh In a message dated 4/20/03 6:20:46 AM Eastern Daylight Time, writes: > From: " annarebecca85259 " <annarebecca85259@...> > Subject: neurofeedback? > > Does anyone have any experience -- pro or con -- with neurofeedback > used to help with seizures. Guest guest
Lamar I, too, am interested in knowing of your experience with something similar to bio/neurofeedback to help control seizure disorders. I understand that this is one of the protocols used at the s Reiter Epiplepsy Center. mjh In a message dated 4/20/03 6:20:46 AM Eastern Daylight Time, writes: > From: Lamar <lamar@...> > Subject: Re: neurofeedback? > > DeEtte, > > I have had something similar. Guest guest
Mjh, I had what was called a neuro-physical assessment at The Mind Spa in Atlanta a few years ago. At the time, I did not seek this therapy out regarding epilepsy. I was concerned about the possibility of ADD or ADHD. Nevertheless, it was a great educational experience for me. I got to see in real-time how light and sound positively impacted my brain. You can find out more about The Mind Spa by visiting their web site at www.themindspa.com . The Mind Spa did at one time sell neurofeedback machines or programs for home use. I don't know if they still do that or not. Neurofeedback has many uses. Business people use it to releave stress. Athletes use it to improve their athletic performance. Students use to enhance their performance academically. In many cases, neurofeedback training has been known to enhance one's IQ. The Mind Spa is NOT a medical clinic. If you are interested in neurofeedback to help bring a seizure disorder under control, it just makes good sense to seek it through those best qualified to help you in that regard. I do not know of any clinic better qualified to do that than s-Reiter. After all, epilepsy is their total focus - both in terms of treatment and research. Good luck. Guest guest
Carolyn, It repeated one workout segment in a 38 min workout I did the other day but I didn't mind because it cycles several upper body, several lower body, total body and abs and then back through again which helps keep your heart rate elevated it. I think its a good deal for $15 but like you said everyone is different and others might hate it. These are the reviews from Collage: I highly recommend this workout!! This is excellent. I consider myself more of an intermediate exerciser and feel this is great!!There are 2 options- 1)Which is level 1 which is more basic and 2)Level 2 which is more challenging.I LOVE how you can customize the workout you can either focus on lower body, upper body, abs or total body!!!I also love the fact how I can easily do a few of the 1 minute workouts after a 40-50 minute cardio DVD to have a complete workout that includes both cardio and strength training!!I have tried hundreds of workouts and I get bored very easily with many!! Not this one!!! Posted by Tonya on 3/27/2006. My Answer to Strength Training Boredom I never was able to stick with strength training because the reps and sets seemed endless and my attention wandered. No more! I enjoy Minna Lessig's other workouts, so I bought this one right away. With a new exercise every minute, I don't get bored and the time really does fly by. It helps if you have some knowledge of strength training and your level, because Minna just refers to " light " or " heavy " weights, rather than a specific number. Posted by Merideth on 3/27/2006. Not a Bad Concept! I just bought this DVD out of curiosity and it seems to work. Only used it once, but got a decent workout. It's as easy or as difficult as you make it: just up the weight you're using. I'm the type who gets bored easily, so we'll see if this helps alleviate some of the tedium. Overall, I'd recommend it, but I guess time will tell! Posted on 3/26/2006. They also have a video preview. a -- _______________________________________________ Search for businesses by name, location, or phone number. -Lycos Yellow Pages http://r.lycos.com/r/yp_emailfooter/http://yellowpages.lycos.com/default.asp?SRC\ =lycos10
