Guest guest
Hi I'm not a Doctor so I can only answer your questions based on my own personal experience. I have found that the acidopholis prevents yeast infections from forming when I am on any type of antibiotic. I do not have any experience of whether or not they work to cure an infection. However, I tend to think it couldn't hurt to try them. When I asked my Dr. how many to take with each dose of antibiotic his exact words were.. " the more the better...you can't overdose on this stuff " . So I always take about 5-6 capsules with each dose of antibiotic. I am sure you can get it in Canada in any drugstore...it is usually by all the other vitamin supplements. Meanwhile, you can eat lots of yogurt and get the same results. (Acidopholis is the live culture that is found in yogurt too). Another thing I use acidopholis for is to cure diarrhea...when my children were on antibiotics I would empty a few capsules of acidopholis into their bottle or over their cereal and I noticed that not only did it prevent the diaper rash from the yeast infection...it also stopped the diarrhea. Hope this helps! Good Luck! Rivky :-)
