Guest guest
I apologize for messing up my post concerning my son's 'readiness' to be emancipated @ 16. When I wrote, " He is 16 and quite sure he is ready... I was trying to convey that HE thinks he is ready to be self-sufficient, which I whole-heartily disagree with. One of his aspie traits is his self-aggrandizing, so he is quite sure that he is ready to take on the world... Never mind the fact that he has no job; and has never worked, no driver's license and no H.S. diploma and takes a swing at anyone who 'irritates' him. His desire to be emancipated is another example of his emotional immaturity...more evidence of how unready he is to enter the adult world. Like I said, we have a LOT of work ahead! ty and sorry for the mix up!! Kate
