Yesterday was our church's teens going to Worlds of Fun. doesn't have any close friends in youth, but there was a new girl from a different church so I tried to connect the two as they had to have at list one buddy in the big park. It went over like a lead balloon getting to talk to her. That evening she came home so very happy because she hung out with Austin who also has Asperger's and they had a blast together. I worried for not on this one.,This morning she went to a motel where she will be working through a program called Kansas works Summer youth program. She was very quiet and not smiling. I hope this works out for her. She so wants to be a lawyer, but I already know this is not the right job for her socially. I think she would be great working with making jewelry or art out of metal. She also has the gift of loving

animals as well. Maybe she could work in a field with this. All I know is time is moving so fast for us and she wants to live on her own as soon as she graduates high school May 2012.
