Guest guest
Kel, Welcome to the group. There are Aussies in this group and I am one of them, but I am now in California, so I suppose that doesn't really help you. This is a great, supportive, and inclusive group. You will find the behaviours and treatments and strategies are mostly transferrable to your situation. You will find that a lot of services that are availabel to us through the public education system here are not available in Australia. I suppose it will depend on where you live, city or rural area, as to how much is available to you in Australia. My son was not dx'ed in Australia, but 6 months after starting middle school here, we had a dx and some strategies in place. We are still struggling to find the perfect balance of meds and accommodations at school, but we are making progress. Where are you in Australia? How old is your son? Are you getting any services? Feel free to email me privately, if you wish. Kylie in CA. > > Hi Everyone, > Thankyou for welcoming the Aussie. yes it is prevalent everywhere but sometimes things can be different in each state and country for what you can access and achieve. All the problems are usually the same. > I have been reading some of the messages on medication and we too may have to travel that road for depression. Teenage years are hard enough put that with aspergers and depression hits an all time low at times. > It is wonderful how you all support each other. > Kel >

Guest guest
Hey, No groups as yet, they all seem to meet during the day and I work. That's why I was trying to find an on line group.
