They do make devices like Temple Grandin's squeeze machine. Southpaw Enterprises

has some that are top and bottom pressure like this one:

http://www.southpawenterprises.com/Steamroller-Advantage-Line-P206.aspx, and I

think you can also find large side squeeze devices based on Grandin's design

(for a hefty price). We have never had the chance to try one of them, but my son

would probably love it - he likes to hide under a blanket and have my husband or

myself roll over him (keep in mind that we outweigh him by a lot - he is not

quite 3 years old). Our OT says that deep pressure is very centering to people

with sensory processing difficulties.

diagnosed as mental retardation?

Such an incredible movie- I wish it was required viewing for EVERYONE

(especially people who are part of our lives).

My son loves to be under the couch cushions or in small spaces/forts or

" cocooned " up in something. Also likes if we lay on him. I've got to get him a

weighted blanket, b/c I just can't afford this..

We absolutely love that movie and helped us with social stories. I can tell Maddie things a million times, but put it in pictures and she has an AHA! moment. Maddie is a very visual thinker.
