Guest guest
Oh, yes it is a roller coaster. Do we ever get off?I will keep climbing the mountain.Sent from Kel's iPhone On 24/08/2010, at 3:20 AM, sandee C <irsandee@...> wrote: I talked about the challenges of my 15 1/2 year old daughter the first week of school, and then how she actually liked high school. Well, it didn't last. All the agreements we made such as she would take the bus MWF etc. went up and a puff of explosion as of last Wednesday when she stormed off to school without her book bag deliberately, and it just went downhill from there. She spent much of Friday melted down on the floor of guidance counselors office or the principals office.. Sooo, we try some more. I think it was a combination of fatigue, stress, allergic reaction (again) to antibiotics, and the diabetes on top of the AS. When she has meltdowns she won't eat, and the blood sugar gets really low, and the problems get bigger. The school is bringing in a Behavior Analyst to make a plan and we did discuss the special school for behavior problem kids that she will end up in if this happens again. That will be a disaster for her, but may be the only solution. Anyway, my point is, we take our successes when we can, and know it won't be forever. It is a roller coaster all the way through.. Guest guest
hi, my name is and i have a 12 year old son in the 7Th grade and about 11:30 every day for the last 3 days i have gotten a call from the nurse that his stomach hurts and wants to come home , i know better then that and i tell him to go to class , well then it just escalates from there, the first day i went and got him and he was fine when he got home, yesterday the Principal called said to come and get him or he was going to have him transferred to the Juvenal center. and he was not to return until he had a medical statement which they do have on file already, my husband and i went to the school and talked to the Principal, he has no patience with children with Aspregers. i am so frustrated with this guy . he is just like my son ,when he doesn't want to deal with something he down right refuses to do any thing , it sure would help if we had some support from the school. Guest guest
Last year my daughter did the same thing. She was in private school and by 9:30 she was calling me to come home. If I wouldn't get her she would throw a tantrum and i was told to bring her home. This year she is in public school and they have her on no phone privilege. We have to break this behavior and it isn't easy! Don't let it get set in. You may need a lawyer.
