Guest guest
Thanks for the help from my previous post... I am still wondering though if it is safe to start giving him ALA with his DMSA... What was so weird about my son's high blood Hg levels in December was that the test was done prior to chelation, at least a year after his last vaccine...He doesn't eat fish and we live in the Wine country in Northern CA. I am guessing that his second blood test showed no Hg because we have been chelating him with DMSA for about 7 weeks. We did my daughter's test to see if we have blatant Hg exposure in our house and her test was Mercury=0.001 (Ref <=0.01) Is this low enough to assume that it would be safe to use ALA n my son as well? I guess it could have been a lab error on the first test...that would actually be so great! We have dropped his DMSA to 12.5mg every 4 hours...I am just wondering if we are ready to add the ALA to help really get it out or if it will do harm than good given the potential of recent exposure... (When I get my fillings out in a few weeks I know that I will have to wait months before I can take the ALA.) Thank you for any help you can give! > > Hi Everyone, > I am hoping that you and Andy can help me... > > I wrote a few months back because my son had very high porphyrin levels and high > mercury in his red blood cells. Also pay attention to your observations of behavior/symptoms. Is there a particular reason you're doing blood tests? They are not particularly useful in regards to metal toxicity and sound like they're providing more stress than useful info. > > be able to begin ALA to get it out of their brains.
