Guest guest
I love this social story. I wish this would get through to my son. We did not even know that he had Aspergers until he was ten, although we always knew it was something much more than just ADHD. hugs to all. in IL GO WHITE SOX! ********, I forwarded this one to the school and asked that they use it with him. The agreed. As for the last sentence above, boy can I relate to that!! was not diagnosed until 2 months after his 11th birthday with Aspergers. He’d been given the ADHD diagnosis at almost 8 (when I finally brought him in for testing!) but I always know there was “more” going on with him. Part of me just kept hoping he would outgrow it all. Guest guest
I just wanted to let other parents know about a website that our non-profit organization has started to help parents get personalized social stories for their children at very reasonable prices (starting at $7.95), and all proceeds go to benefit our educational organization. Social stories are great ways for parents, teachers, therapists and other professionals who work with children teach them about a variety of subjects. We have created social stories about subjects such as: Strangers, street safety, going to the doctor or dentist, starting school, new babies, personal space/public space. We can create social stories about any subject you are interested in teaching. You email the subject you want the story to be about and photos of your child, and we deliver social stories right to your email inbox. Very fast turn around time. My daughter with autism absolutely loves being the star of the book and seeing family and friends in the story. I love being about to print out as many copies as I want, so everytime she rips them up or we lose them, I can just print another one. http://innovacademics.blogspot.com/ <http://innovacademics.blogspot.com/> or email us at: dwellogic@... <mailto:dwellogic@...> Thank you!
