> Hi Dana what other issues did lack of folic acid create? And I

can't seem to find a folic acid supplement that doesn't have calcium

in it. What kind did you use? For carnatine did you use acetyl or

just plain? Do you know if carnetine helps with gastric reflux?

These are the things that seem to cause him pain lately:

proteases, cal/mag citrate, citric acid, zinc sulfate, some b vitamins

especially if they have some form of calcium like folinic acid or

pantothenic acid. Maybe you have suggestions as to why he doesn't

tolerate them and what types I could substitute instead.

He doesn't tolerate anything from enzymedica for some reason.

AFP gives him terrible gastritis.

So, should I just give him Phenol Assist, Carb digest, and some sort

of lipase enzyme? Is there some type of enzyme for proteins that is

not a protease? Or something that will help? Like maybe carnitine?

Also all of the yeast meds he gets compounded are SCD compliant but

they all contain glycerine- ehat is it about glycerine that some kids

don't tolerate? Maybe that isn't helping him either. He definitely

improves with language and the hydroxy B12 but something is missing to

pull it together and most of his issues deal with yeast. What brand

of biotin do you use? Also I know he needs certain vitamins and I

want him to get the benefit of them should I just give them at the

same time as the yeast meds? Also does Phenol sensitivity have to do

with the liver not being able to detox them? I sometimes think the

red ears have to do with an acid problem. Well sorry so long winded.

We are talking to 2 gastroenterologists on wednesday and I want to

make sure I know a few things before I talk to them. Also why can't

you give a protease with gastritis? I know this has been answered

before but I can't find the exact post I wanted to see. Thanks for any

info. I am at my witt's end with our current gastro. because he

charges so much and I don't get many answers. Thanks for your help as

always, Wanda

That enzyme works for many children, so you can certainly try it.

Hi all! I am new to using enzymes. My son has been GFCF but now we want to start

using enzymes. I decided on the Trienza and got a great tip for making little

chocolate candies with the enzymes in it to send to school. I made one weeks'

worth for school lunches/snacks and froze them. I asked the teacher to keep them

in their freezer (they have a fridge in the classroom) and send them home at the

end of the week. Well, she must have misunderstood and sent them home in my

son's lunch box. I found them at about 7pm, so now I am worried about whether or

not they have been ruined (I'm still confused about what 'activates' them- from

what I read they are still effective when frozen into a food for up to two

weeks). Any help/info would be greatly appreciated, I would hate to throw them

out if they are fine, but would also hate to give them to him if they aren't

going to work!! Thanks!
