Anyone successfully homeschool their special needs kids? Need advice

I need some advice desparately. I have three year old twins with autism,

sensory processing disorder, celiac disease, speech apraxia, dyspraxia, and

hypotonia. They started school in a special needs class right after they turned

three and attended school for two months before summer hit. They have started

back up with school this Fall. They are in a class with five students and two

teachers. My boys are high maintenance (VERY sensory seeking. Sweet boys but

prefer to run or jump or walk around aimlessly banging toys or twirling stuff or

mouthing whatever they can get their hands on) and need one on one if they are

really going to get anything out of therapy or school. Obviously with five

students, they do not get one on one. Each day (most days) that I pick my boys

up, what I hear is that they fussed and cried the entire time, they were sleepy,

etc, etc. They keep getting sick. They have their third upper respiratory type

infection since school started. What I am

wondering is if I should pull them out of school and do my best to alternate

between boys and do therapy/school with them at home.

Can anyone offer advice/encouragement on how to possibly do this? We are out

of insurance coverage for private speech and OT. We get 20 visits per year.

So, I would be on my own but feel I have learned so much just watching their

therapists.

Thanks,

Dana
