About replacing fillings

I know that this question must have been asked here before dozens of

times, but are there dentists who know how to remove and replace

amalgam fillings without contaminating the patient's bloodstream with

more mercury? I could think of things like pre-doping the patient's

mouth with a substance that would capture some of the mercury emitted

by the filling that is being removed, but I don't know much about this.

Also, I wonder about replacing thimerosal in vaccines with colloidal

silver. Colloidal silver in small amounts is safe, and even in

amounts large enough to cause darkening of the skin, no one that I

have read has made any claim that it is toxic.
