Guest guest
We are seeing an increasing anxiety issue with my 6 year old Aspie son over the last month and I don't know what to do about it. It started with us standing at a railroad cossing and the train was extremely long, he started asking when it was done and slowly but surely over the next 12 min worked himself into a hyperventilating, crying mess. Now all of a sudden he has problem with red lights too. Anytime we get stuck in traffic, waiting for the cross traffic to turn left, he now starts panicking. He has never had anxiety before (as far as we know), has no transition problems, loves to meet new people, sleep in different hotels etc. When he was 4 he had an issue with TV - he would not watch new TV shows unless we were with him the first time and then it was ok. But other than that, I have never seen him break down like that. The new thing we did this summer is 5 rounds of low dose ALA chelation, other than that he gets the usual (probiotics, Omegas, all vitamins and minerals on the ASD appropriate level, enzymes). Can anybody either explain and/or tell me how to help him. It does not seem to be something I can talk him through, he starts syaing " When are we going? " and shuts down. At my house, anxiety was eliminated with B vitamins, fish oil, anti-virals, and yeast control. > The new thing we did this summer is 5 rounds of low dose ALA chelation, > other than that he gets the usual (probiotics, Omegas, all vitamins and > minerals on the ASD appropriate level, enzymes). You may need to increase the yeast protocol and/or the minerals. Dana
