Guest guest
Dear, My son is on SCD diet, day 105... We have no problem with eating...etc etc We receive our OAT test from GPLabs and I speak 3 times with their representatives. ..they didnt maqk any problem... I notice that some Fatty Acid Metabolities are increased... I need your advice, PLEASE: “WHAT ARE SEVERELY ELEVATED LEVELS OF KETONES? WHEN WOULD THE HIGH LEVELS BE CONSIDERED DANGEROUS AND CAPABLE OF INDUCING KETOACIDOSIS? I WOULD ALSO LIKE SEVERAL OPINIONS IN ADDITION TO YOURS AND THAT OF MY DOCTOR, ARE THERE ANY OTHER LISTS APART FROM ABMD WHERE THERE ARE DOCTORS POSTING?” We recently had a GPL OATs test done and my son’s urine is showing elevated ketones: acetoacetate 954.83 (ref range 0.0 - 10.0) 3-hydroxybutyrate 762.40 (ref range 0.0 - 10.0) before the collection of urine as I was adviced, I stop giving my son any fruit and juices for more than 48 hours... would these levels be considered capable of inducing ketoacidosis? Should I have my son’s blood pH tested? Please advice...PLEASE, ....ASAP thanks, --------------------------------- Looking for last minute shopping deals? Find them fast with Search.
