Finding safe foods

Hi,

After being dismissed as a hyperactive parent by 3 pediatricians I am

finally finding my own way to understanding and helping my 4 month

old son who has had many, many problems ( " colic " --right--these

doctors are nuts) since birth. I have barely had a chance to peruse

the info on this list but I know I will find many things to help us

here. At the moment what I know is that if I follow a very very rigid

elimination diet, my breastfed son does great, if I eat practically

anything outside of the 10 foods it is like a light switch flicks and

he is a mess (screaming, arching his back, red rash on cheeks,

constipated, reflux, hyper, no sleep, stuffy nose, swollen face and

eyes, sneezing, no eye contact.) I couldn't believe when I called

Rice Dream today to find out what exactly they mean by " natural

flavors " and was told it is a proprietary secret and could not be

disclosed. Lord, is this how it is going to be with any food not

made entirely from scratch? *Sigh* Does anyone know if Rice Dream

is a " safe " food? Where are the best lists of what I can eat that

cover all of the possible reactants until I can better discern what

his specific triggers are? I feel like I'm in a race against time

and am a little overwhelmed at all the information to interpret.

Thank you,

Bridget and baby Bain
