Senator Carl L. Marcellino report on Toxic Mold

I received this mailing the other day........

it states:

In response to these issues, I have:

* Intoduced the " Toxic Mold Protection Act "

This act would create a task force to advise the Dept. Of Health on standards

for:

1. contamination levels

2. environmental and health assessments

3. protocols for remediation

* Met with insurance and remediation experts about areas of concern to them

*appeared on WABC-TV Long Island Viewpoints in an effort to educate the

public about the potential harm

* Participated in a panel discussion with envrionmental consultants, lawyers,

laimants and insurance companies

*Planned public hearings to be held after the first of the year to further

address the issue

WHAT SHOULD YOU DO:

Keep humidity level in the house below 40%

use an airconditioner or a dehumidifier

Be sure your home has adequate ventilation

Add mold inhibitors to paint before application

Clean bathrooms with mold killing products

Do not carpet bathrooms or basements

Remove or replace previously soaked carpets and Upholstery

have air and heating ducts cleaned routinely

Then: there is a clip and return section:

HAVE YOU BEEN A VICTIM OF THIS HIDDEN HEALTH HAZARD?? IF SO, LET ME KNOW YOUR

STORY
