Cost me and over $200 for the NYC rally. I should check Amtrak for their DC rates. I am sure someone will find your post useful though and stay there. Hugs, Marta >> Hi Marta, There are supposed to be free buses from New Jersey and Pennsylvania going to Washington. Awaiting more information on that front. I heard from a friend that last year they returned the same day, so no hotel involved...... Hope to make it too.....

Guest guest
Marcia: What about Dr. Goldberg going on the Today Show? Karyn Serrousi who wrote the book on the GFCF diet and her son's recovery was just on last week. If she can be on this, Dr. Goldberg sure stands a chance. I heard Dr. Goldberg speak at a seminar in Iowa last spring and then took my to him in Oct. of 2001. He was not invited back to this seminar which will be this fall of 2002. I called the director of this Homestead Organization out of Des Moines that put the seminar on and asked him why? He said they didn't have room, and didn't really elaborate why. My guess is that he is not a DAN doctor like most of the speakers last year. THe funny part is Dr. Goldberg spoke for one hour and stayed 3 hours for questions, when the DAN doctors only stayed 20 minutes for questions. That tells you who was the best speaker!! (from Minnesota - Hi Marcia!)
Guest guest
The impression I have gotten from other physicians, etc. in the autism community is that they do not like the fact that Dr. G. flat out states that these kids have an auto immune disease and that they can be cured. Now why does that bother them? Perhaps because that might put them out of business? Just a guess.
Guest guest
my daughter used Risperdal for 1 year. in four months she gained 20 pounds. she was also taking depakote. she was also Puberty state Tanner 4. she came off the risperdal, and started her period within one month. she has lost 10 pounds in 45 days (we didn't do anything strange, while growing 3 inches (5'4, 130 pounds now) at 10.5 years. She also had a lot of constipation problems, was probably impacted. also on Miralax now. She is off both the Depakote (which she did not gain weight on prior to the Risperdal), and off the Risperdal. Just Miralox, and i supplement with Flaxseed or Salmon Oil, and a combo Calcium/Magnesium pill daily plus a multi-vitamin (pre-natal prescribed) Re: Obsessions and fixations > > Risperdal is the most common I think. > is on that. Guest guest
adding to previous message: we put our daughter on Risperdal for almost manic/depressive behavior. perhaps this is something that was happening due to onset of puberty. it sure looked like full=blown PMS. Guest guest
> Hi Eve, Thanks. I was aware of the dangers of mercury in fish, and it may indeed be contributing to my problem. Although I love fish, I purposely limit it for that reason to once per week, and it is usually wild salmon or flounder, occasionally shrimp. One reason I think it could be fillings is I got worse the more dental work I had. I have a metal taste in my mouth, similar to when I had braces as a child. I am seeing the doctor Saturday so I will find out for sure. Thanks, Bernadette > Message: 2 > Date: Mon, 02 Jun 2003 19:14:04 -0000 > From: " Eve " <eve_gettingpregnant@...> > Subject: Re: Hashimoto's and almagam removal > > I would just like contribute to this - I had a hair test done when I > was trying to conceive, and it showed I was high in mercury - from > my tuna sandwiches - I don't have any filings! > > Anyway after no more tuna and some serious detoxing, and > antioxidants a sunsequent hair test showed mercury to be normal. Get yourself a Binky pacifier, or the equivalent. Hang it around your neck. Every time you 'get the urge,' plonk it in your mouth and suck hard. I'm not kidding. After a week or so you'll be over the worst of it. By the time the postal person spots you with it around your neck for the third time, it'll be an option to move on.
