Reaction to low-phenol diet

My DAN! dr suggested putting D on a low-phenol diet along with the

gf/cf. Then she asked that I stop the enzymes (Peptizyde) until we do

all his tests so they don't interfere. (I was only giving the enzymes

occasionally when I was uncertain about foods) Anyways, in the last 2

days since I've taken away alot of the high phenol foods I notice a

change in my son. It's subtle, and I can't quite describe it, but he

seems more " here " .

Now the questions: My son apparently has gas for the first time I can

remember since babyhood. Is this normal after stopping high phenol

intake? Also, his normally itchy skin has gotten REALLY itchy. Poor

kid, I just try to keep it hydrated so he doesn't scratch himself to

bad....is this unusual?

Most of the time, gas is caused by food intolerance or yeast overgrowth.

Food intolerance can cause this, as well as a few supps and a few

other things. What do you feed him now, that is different than when

you were giving him the high phenol foods?
