Guest guest
I had severe food allergies as a child, so i had my son tested at age two via blood for both immediate and delayed reaction allergies. very little response; any where considered no reaction, with the exception of eggs which were a very low reaction on the delayed. we have since removed all artifical colors, flavors, preservates, etc...and all corn products after noticing reactions to corn. he is on the houston trio. he is doing great, but I couldn't help but wonder what i was missing. our insurance is changing so I decided to take him in to be retested for immediate allergies and immune issues. i have not had the follow-up appt, but on the phone they told me the only thing that came back was a wheat allergy. so now i have to take away so much more from him...how could the test 3 years ago say no wheat allergy whatsoever and now he is highly allergic? i expect more to come back but not one of the basic's they had already tested for. I was allergic to wheat as a child; i know it is not fun at all. He misses out on so much already....how do i take his Annie's Cheddar Bunnies away???????? Anyone have any input? Do you think I will see a great improvement with removing wheat? He is not ASD, but severe Sensory Processing/Intergration, Developmental Delays, and not fully potty trained. Any advice, support, input would be appreciated. I also wonder if I should have my NT 2.5 year old daugther tested just because of my history. Do you ever just wish life would give you it easy for a day????????? denice --------------------------------- Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Try it now.
