Guest guest
Has anyone ever heard of (or tried) the use of SSRI medication (ie anti-depressants such as Prozac) to help treat anxiety with ASD children?
Guest guest
My son's neurologist prescribed an ssri for him several years ago. Even though it apparently does good things for some children, it didn't for mine. He became manic. Just be sure you get all the facts on possible side effects. d. wright --- gthomasanderson <gthomasanderson@...> wrote: > Has anyone ever heard of (or tried) the use of SSRI > medication (ie > anti-depressants such as Prozac) to help treat > anxiety with ASD > children? > > ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Never miss a thing. Guest guest
We have tried Celexa and Prozac and got the same mania side effects that were mentioned by another poster - real and pretend becoming difficult to distinquish with my son accompanied with increased OCD behaviors. As my doc phrased it " he activiated on these meds " so we discontinued and will go with an DAN! protocol to help with our anxiety, OCD and behavior problems.
